So far we’ve offered you some fabulous sweet and savory food recipes, and now we want to add in something to quench your thirst as well. We’ve decided to shake things up this week with our summertime recipe and bring you something to drink that’s perfect for summer!
Whenever the sun comes out, so do the fruity cocktails! The best thing about cocktails is that there are so many different ones, and they’re so easy to make at home too. We’ve chosen three of our favorites for you this week so take a look at let us know what you think!
Orange Splash…
Here’s what you’ll need:
2 oz. Absolut Citron vodka
1 oz. Cointreau or triple sec
1 splash fresh lime juice
1 splash orange juice
Sugar, for garnish
Orange slice, for garnish
Here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Pour all ingredients over ice in a shaker or large glass and shake vigorously. Rim a glass with sugar and serve on the rocks. Garnish with an orange slice.
Here’s what you’ll need:
3 fresh strawberries
3 slice canned pineapple
0.50 oz. pineapple syrup from the can
0.25 oz. lime juice
0.25 oz. simple syrup
2 oz. white rum
Here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Muddle fruit. Pour over ice with other ingredients; shake. Garnish with fruit.
Here’s what you’ll need:
0.50 c. chopped mint leaves
0.50 tsp. kosher salt
4 c. Crushed ice
1.50 c. good-quality tequila
1 c. freshly squeezed lime juice (8 limes)
1 c. triple sec
Here’s what you’ll need to do:
- In the bottom of a large (2-quart) pitcher, crush together mint and salt, pressing with the back of a wooden spoon. Add ice. Add tequila, lime juice, and Triple Sec, stirring vigorously. Serve in short tumblers or wineglasses.
